Chemistry in the Oil Industry XVI: New Chemistries for Old Problems

Chemistry in the Oil Industry XVI
New Chemistries for Old Problems

4th – 6th November 2019, Manchester, UK

Organised by the RSC Speciality Chemicals Sector group, with continued valued support from the European Oilfield Speciality Chemicals Association, Chemistry in the Oil Industry is a 2 day technical conference offering high quality keynote speeches, oral and poster presentations plus the opportunity to network with peers and talk with exhibitors offering practical solutions. A welcome reception and Symposium dinner also form part of the event.

For 2019 the theme is “New Chemistries for Old Problems”. With the industry adjusting to the “new normal”, the focus returns to innovative, value-adding chemistries. Improved understanding of chemistry can lead to field developments and extension that would otherwise be uneconomic. The industry’s responsibility to do this safely and with due concern for the environment is paramount.

The symposium is open to relevant RSC members and non-members.

An exhibition will run alongside the conference.
